Editorial Policy
Meridiano 47 – Situational Analysis in International Relations releases unpublished works in the form of short academic articles and book reviews. Edited by the Brazilian Institute of International Relations – IBRI, the Bulletin does not reflect the opinion of any governmental body, neither is it affiliated to any organization or national or international party movements. Opinions expressed in published works are the sole responsibility of the authors and contributors, and do not reflect the opinion or the endorsement of IBRI.
The Bulletin publishes works whose themes are situated in the general field of international relations, including International and Compared Politics, International Law, History of International Relations and of Foreign Policy, and International Political Economy.
All contribution will be submitted to academic arbitration, evaluated by at least two advisors, chosen from members of the Editorial Board or the specialist academic community, using the blind review system. The advisors are allowed to recommend the publication, subject to changes in the work if they feel these to be necessary, or even to reject it. In this process, the anonymity of authors and advisors is guaranteed.
Publication of contributions will always be supported by the recommendations of the Editorial Board and by examinations of the reports received concerning them.
Submission Guidelines
- The Bulletin publishes articles of situational analysis and book reviews;
- Papers must contain in the range of 7,000 characters (including spaces) and should be submitted in standard word processorf;
- Footnotes should not be used. In case of bibliographic citation, do use the Chicago System (author, date), with detailed reference to the literature placed at the end of the article;
- Contributions can be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish;
- Submissions should contain the author’s full name, his or her title and institutional affiliation;
- In case of reviews, full data and ISBN of the work analysed should be provided;
- Submissions should be followed by:
- 3 key words in Portuguese and 3 key words in English;
- Title in English;
- Abstract in Portuguese and English, both less then 20 words.
